May 20- June 2, 2014
111 Boulevard Beaumarchais
The Parisian design concept store Merci celebrates ‘TAIWAN DESIGN TIGERS’, introducing the link between the creativity of well-known designers and the savoir faire of Taiwanese artisans.
“For a dozen of years, the design community has increased its exchanges with young designers and artisan-manufacturers from Taïwan. The famous names of the design world, Nendo, the Campana brothers and Konstantin Grcic have linked their creativity to the savoir-faire of the Taïwanese artisans to offer unique experimental pieces.”
Those works from HAN Gallery and former Yii, all under the artistic direction of Gijs Bakker(co-founder Droog Design) have been gathered under the Parisian sky, under the invitation of Merci, to celebrate the annual Designers Days event of the city.
The exhibition ran from May 20 through June 2, 2014.
